KLANG: Selangor Umno welcomed the return of former mentri besar Tan Sri Muhammad Muhammad Taib back into the party fold after an absence of five years.

"Selangor Umno and Barisan wholeheartedly accept the party Supreme Council's decision to accept Tan Sri Mat Taib's return.
"Selangor Umno and Barisan will now work very closely with Tan Sri Mat Taib in efforts to win back the people's trust in Selangor,'' said Mat Nadzari who is Batang Kali assemblyman.
He added Muhammad, who is from Hulu Selangor, had contributed much to the state during his 11-year tenure as mentri besar.
