PPBM today announced academician Datuk Dr Samsu Adabi Mamat as its candidate for the Putrajaya parliamentary seat in the 14th General Election. — Picture by Yusof Mat IsaPUTRAJAYA, April 15 — Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM) today announced academician Datuk Dr Samsu Adabi Mamat as its candidate for the Putrajaya parliamentary seat in the 14th General Election (GE14), polling of which is on May 9.
The announcement was made by Federal Territory PPBM chief Captain (Rtd) Muhammad Suhaimi Yahya at the Putrajaya PPBM office here tonight.
Muhammad Suhaimi also announced PPBM Women head Rina Harun as its candidate for the Titiwangsa parliamentary seat.
Both the Putrajaya and Titiwangsa seats are expected to see three-cornered fights as PAS had earlier announced that it would also be contesting in both places.
In GE13, Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Mansor retained Putrajaya for Barisan Nasional (BN) for three consecutive terms, defeating PAS candidate Datuk Husam Musa with a majority of 5,541 votes.
Meanwhile, in Titiwangsa, Datuk Seri Johari Abdul Ghani from BN defeated PAS candidate Ahmad Zamri Asa’ad Khuzaimi with a majority of 866 votes.
