Abdul Wahib said the baby was taken to the Sultanah Nora Ismail Hospital in Batu Pahat and was now in a stable condition. — IStock.com pic via AFPJOHOR BARU, Jan 29 — A newborn baby boy was found abandoned in front of a house in Jalan Pulai, Taman Batu Pahat, Batu Pahat early yesterday.
Batu Pahat district police chief ACP Abdul Wahib Musa said the baby, who was only wrapped in a towel, was discovered by the 52-year-old landlady of the house about 6.30am.
“She heard a baby crying outside the house before she went out to check, and saw the baby in front of the gate.
“The woman then asked a passer-by to contact the police and hospital,” he said in a statement here yesterday.
Abdul Wahib said the baby was taken to the Sultanah Nora Ismail Hospital in Batu Pahat and was now in a stable condition.
