That message that missing pastor has been found? It’s fake

PETALING JAYA: A message circulating on social media since Monday claiming that missing Pastor Raymond Koh Keng Joo has been found, is fake.

Koh’s family has confirmed that the message is false and appealed to the public to stop circulating it.

“We are saddened and anxious that there is fake news circulating that Pastor Raymond has been found and returned to the family. There is no truth to this.

“We hope the fake news will stop,” a family representative told The Star on Thursday.

The family said that if Koh was found, they would “certainly make a proper announcement” as it would be a happy event.

LATEST : Please be imformed (sic) that Pastor Raymond Koh has been found in Kelana Jaya Police Station. His wife has been called to Kelana Jaya Police Station by a lawyer. There are lawyers from DUMC (Damansara Utama Methodist Church). Cont to pray.

Selangor CID chief Senior Asst Comm Fadzil Ahmat confirmed on Tuesday that Koh had been abducted and that the police are investigating.

On Wednesday, Koh’s wife Susanna Liew Sow Yoke appealed for help to locate the pastor, who was abducted by a group of masked men along Jalan Bahagia here, between 10.30am and 10.45am on Monday.

He was last seen wearing a polo neck beige T-shirt and dark grey pants.
