Man who confessed to murdering ‘lover’ remanded another week

The order on the 37-year-old suspect was issued by Petaling Jaya Magistrate’s Court assistant registrar, Hairul Azhar Mohd Ishak.

The man had earlier been remanded for six days to facilitate an investigation under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder, which provides for the mandatory death sentence upon conviction.

On February 5, the media reported that a man brought his lover’s body to the Damansara Police Station in a car, before surrendering. The man claimed he murdered his girlfriend at the parking lot of a shopping mall in Kota Damansara.

Meanwhile, seven men have been remanded for four days in connection with the murder of two brothers at a birthday celebration early yesterday.
