Kelab Info Malaysia’s Facebook post mentioned mentioned that flight MH8008 from Kuala Lumpur to Jeddah was facing some technical difficulties. — AFP picPETALING JAYA, Feb 17 ― Malaysia Airlines has denied claims that its Flight MH8008, enroute from Kuala Lumpur International Airport to Jeddah on February 16 had experienced technical difficulties.
In a Facebook post, the airline said that the claims, made by a “Kelab Info Malaysia” on its own Facebook page was a hoax.
Kelab Info Malaysia describes itself as a “news organisation” and carries a variety of social media posts on accidents and other topics.
“The post had mentioned that flight MH8008 from Kuala Lumpur to Jeddah was facing some technical difficulties.”
“The Airbus A380-800 aircraft, which is operating this route, is in good flying condition,” it said in a statement, today.
The airline said MH8008 departed Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) at 12.53pm and scheduled to arrive in Jeddah at 6pm today,” it said.
The airline said it took the matter seriously and urged those seeking information to visit the airline’s official social media platforms and website for information and updates.
