Body of army captain flown to New York

The Army Headquarters in a statement said efforts to bring home the remains of the captain was underway after the completion of paperwork and other formalities at the morgue in Waynesville, Fort Leonard Wood at 11am Friday morning.

The statement said the body was flown to New York on a commercial flight from the Lambert St Louis International Airport in Missouri at 9.10am Saturday morning.

According to the statement, the flight from New York to Malaysia was being arranged, and his remains would be escorted by Assistant Defence Attache in Washington DC, Lt Col Mohd Hafizar Md Idris from Fort Leonard Wood to Kuala Lumpur.
