IPOH: Three members of a family are in remand for six days from today in connection with a human trafficking case involving 18 foreigners who were rescued during a raid at a factory in Kepayang, here yesterday.

The remand order, which expires on Sept 3, was issued by magistrate Siti Salwa Ja'afar.

The suspects, all women in their 20s and 40s, are believed to be the factory owners.

Yesterday, 12 Bangladeshi men and six Myanmar nationals, including a woman, aged between 20 and 50, were rescued when a police team from the Perak Anti-Vice, Gambling and Secret Societies Division (D7) conducted a raid at the factory.
